Cover and Title
A simple cover which shows an image of a couple on a boat mid-sea on the upper path and the bottom part shows us an image of sea diver beneath the ocean layers. The title "42 Days of Love" is something which is apt for the storyline once you read it, but I felt that the title could be modified into a more impressive one considering the versatility of the plot.
Theme
The plot revolves around Donna who is an adventure seeker who loves deep-sea diving who has pledged to find out the sunken treasure of India's Nizam. Even though this what she is looking for, she has a strange and past too.
Donna along with 4 other namely Sonia , Anish, David, and Sameera start-up an expedition that most people have failed. Things won't be easy for them as they had to find out their attacking pirates but to make things worse the is a betrayal warning from the team.
The plot is refreshing as each of the characters played their part beautifully to make it an engaging read. At no point in the book, you would feel that it slows down the pace as you be glued to the characters.
Language and Narration
Its simple English which is throughout the plot making it perfect for all kinds of readers. The narration is wonderful as it creates mesmerizing thoughts in the mind of the readers about the life under-sea.
What I Liked
- I liked the plot which is refreshing and different once which I have been reading thus far.
- Attention to details which explains the various things on deep-sea diving is narrated well.
- The characterization is wonderful and all of them gel together to stitch the plot
What I Disliked
- I felt that the cover and the title of the book could have been improved considering how wonderful the plot is.
- I would have expected a more subtle and tricky climax rather than the one penned down
