The title of the book "Chronicle of Golgotha Days" is crisp and apt for what revolves around the plot. Bot the cover and title are above par to what the book has to offer in respect to the storyline. Theme The theme of the book is scary and highly emotional in the first place. The plot depicts the horrific life of a sixteen old girl Abhaya. A small decision to elope with Babu , a person she loves inorder to make her parents who loved her very much in shock. Babu had taken Abhaya into a path where returning back was literally impossible. The amount of mental and physical torture she had to face because of a small decision she made was so much that she preferred death more than living the horrific days. Language and Narration The language used in the book is simple English. The author has done remarkable with the narration of the book which bring to light the feelings of the characters which is rather breath taking and scary. The narration of a real event which happened in Kerala in 1996 known as the Suryanelli case. What I Liked and Disliked This is one of most emotional books I have read of late which brought out a thought of caution and understanding of the society which we live in.
