Title: Pentacles
Author: Sabarna Roy
Language: English
Cover and Title
Cover and Title
The cover of the book shows the simple image of butterflies. Though simple I felt it rather attractive. The title "Pentacles" is different and to an extends creates a sense of curiosity in the reader's minds.
Theme
Pentacles comprise one long story and four short poems by Sabarna Roy. The book is a collection of cognitive and random thoughts from the author. Though vague in certain areas the book contains ceratin aspects that actually bring in the reality of life. I felt that the short stories were of a better ambiance than the poems. Never the less the author's creativity has to be appreciated. The emotions are penned down beautifully by the author.
Language and Narration
The language used in simple English and with respect to the narrative skills I feel the author needs to improve in certain areas as I felt there is a high amount of disconnect.

What I Liked and Disliked
I liked the flow of emotions in short stories. I personally felt if the book contained only short stories would have been a better option rather than being a mixture of both.
