Cover and Title
The cover of the book shows the image of 2 versatile Malayalam movie actors Prem Nazir and Jayabarathi who had paired a handful of hit movies. The title of the book "Sreedevi Talkies" which means Sreedevi Theater in case you didn't know resembles something like an old movie name.
Theme
The plot revolves around the around a small town of Kotta and its cinema hall called Sreedevi Talkies. Both of these are quite relatable if you had ever visited Kerala. The versatility of the people in the town is beautifully penned down by the author. The story is a little bit complex for laymen to understand and also there would be a problem to understand the concept due to cultural differences
Language and Narration
The book is written in English with a considerable amount of local language of Malayalam been used. I didn't feel difficulties in understanding those because my mother tongue is Malayalam. Speaking of the narration, each character in the book is narrated beautifully by the author. Even though there are cases of lengthly descriptions I felt it was necessary for some areas if not all.
What I Liked and Disliked

The characterization is something which I loved the most. The book shows the characters which are plotted with meticulous care. Even though I was able to understand theme the author has put in, there are places where we actually lack to miss why and how it's related, that could be mainly because I read the book in patches
