Cover and Title
The cover shows an image of a cartoonists image of a house decorated for marriage as it shows the image of a groom on a white horse which is a common thing in big fat Indian weddings. The title "Knotty Affairs" brings into light what might happen between two individual before and even after marriage or is marriage really a necessity?
Theme
The book brings into the light of various un-explanatory customs which prevails in the Indian society with respect to marriage and the concept of living together. The plot has multiple dimensions where we can relate to if we think of marriage one such example if the relationship between Aakash and Kashish who couldn't be together because of the parents' outlook and opinions.

Fast forward Aakash falls in Aneri but this time around the couple decides to 'live-in ' together before getting married. But is not as easy as it seems to. What all does the couple go through in due course?  Catch hold of the book to find more.
Language and Narration
The language is simple and easy to understand, no hard and fast rules on the plot been narrated but I felt that the narration is little bit wavery as it does drag up in certain areas starting from the middle of the plot.
What I Liked and Disliked
I did like the concepts described within the book as the author has tried to explain various happenings which usually happens in adulthood, before getting married and also the concepts of living together. On how the previous generation looks into it. The importance of parents opinion in marriage etc all these things are relatable in day to day life.

The narrative skill of the book is something which could have improved as I feel that the plot is beautiful and its only certain areas which are dragged upon to meet ends.
