Cover and Title
An eye-catching cover with a sketch of a cop aiming his revolver catches everyone's attention pretty easily. The title of the book Red-Line matches with the color of the sketch of the cover. So both the cover and the title represent each other. Speaking about the paper quality of the book, its simply awesome and a delight to read.
Theme
As the cover depicts the plot is a crime thriller involving a cop SHO Hanumant Shashtri of the Delhi Police and a mysterious murder case which he is handling. The mystery of the Ministry of Defense Director Rakesh Kumar death who was believed to be have died due to a heart attack turning it into a murder plot. Hanumant Shashtri digging deep into the death of Rakesh Kumar was first to note the obscure death of people who traveled with him and thereby increasing the suspicion of it being a murder rather than a medical death.
The book travels through many twist and turns which I as a lover of crime thrillers enjoyed the most
Language and Narration
The language is simple English and easy to understand for most people. Speaking about the narration, the entire plot was scripted and narrated pretty well as I could feel a sense of anxiety when reading it. Even if the book was big with over 300 pages never did it make me bored with what I am reading.
What I Liked and Disliked
  • With the initial impression, I loved the cover and the plot narrated in the blurb.
  • I to an extent liked the overall plot and the only thing I felt a little wavery is the side role characters, to be frank, there are too many of them which in certain cases I forgot their names as it never kept the side roled characters in touch always, expect at the end.
