Cover and Title

An interesting cover which shows an image of a couple on either side of a metal thorn fence and an equally apt title "Love knows No Loc (Line of Control)". The cover and title give an idea of how the plot is and to an extent is something which is different from most books I have read for a long time.

Theme
As portrayed by the book cover, the plot is about a romantic relationship between Kabeer, cricketer by profession and Zoya a singer who lives across two sides of a border India and Pakistan respectively. The met each other, even though the nationality pulled them apart there was something which brought them close.  As expected their relationship is far more complex and difficult to attain as it faces a lot of criticism not only from their families but the whole of the country.
How the relationship ends and how the families and citizen of each country react to their relationship bring the most of the plot.

Language and Narration
The language used is simple and easy to understand as most of Arpit Vageria's books. The narration follows a soothing pattern which makes the story flow while reading

What I Liked and Disliked
  • The way the plot is narrated as it brings lives into the characters and their responses and relations  to events in others lives bring a dark reality of today's courtship
  • Even though most of the areas are predictable, the author has done a wonderful job to make readers glued to the pages.
  • The end is something which I felt could have been different as it gives a more sorrowful ending. But I know that all stories don't end as we expect them to
