The book cover shows an image of a woman is corporate attire which give the reader before reading the plot that the book is the story of a Woman and her corporate life. The title "Honey & the Moon " is some what which gives an impression of woman who wants to reach the heights of the Moon. This requires citation.
Theme
The plot revolves around a highly career oriented and ambitious woman Srishti who tries to give equal importance to her personal family life , thus trying to immaculate a good work -life balance.
She is some one who flows against the tide of the social norms . She had failed is many aspects of her life but that doesn't stop her from flying from the ashes reborn as a Phoenix does . She had a marriage of her choice .. But does it end how she wants it to be..
The book give a impression of a new view from the eyes of a woman . it is heartbreaking at some places , but the enthusiasm in Srishti character makes you love the plot
Language and Narration
The language is simple and nice for a read ,but narration is a place where I felt it lagged a bit. The plot started beautifully ,but in some places it looses the continuity. The style of narration could have been improved.
What I liked
- The plot and theme is good and the author tries to bring in some new theme into the book.
- The climax is something which I loved.
What I didn't like
.
- There is some kind of continuity missing the book where the pace of the book doesn't flow smoothly as expected.
