Cover and Title
The reality of life where people were once best friends and with passing time can become strangers, but with known faces.
The title and the cover of the book are very much catchy. Where a person unmasks himself which itself is an eye-catching one.
Plot
Strangers with known faces by Gautum Dutta can be classified under the genres crime and mystery. The Story revolves around five college friends – Shanaya, Amol, Sadaaf, Meenakshi, and Rajat. Life always plays a funny twist and it did in their life too.
The plot starts with the murder of Shanaya who was involved in some illegal activities. She left 4 things for her best friends in her will which make police arrest Sadaf, Amol, Rajat, Meenakshi. They were now real suspects in her murder case
In the climax when the murder mystery discloses, considering the sequence of events prescribed in the story
But overall a good package for a one time read for a reader who loves reading mystery, but somewhere in the middle of the book, I think it lost the plot. Some places it was highly predictable.     `
Narration
Even though there are minor flows in vocabulary, the story turns out to be an absolute thriller which goes along well with how it is been narrated
What I liked :
  1. Characterization of each of the 5 protagonists in the story line. There is some character hidden in each of them. The mystery of Good or Bad is hidden. This is where the cover of the book comes as a highlight where a mask is being removed.
  2. The message of Friendship with a different plot
What I didn’t like:
  1. The vocabulary could have been improved to make the story a more gripping one
  2. The climax could have been more convincing.
