The Book cover is apt for a romantic tale like LOVE OF MY LIFE. I personally loved it very much. You can see a couple hugging each other with intimacy and also a  man walking through a lonely road. Which does 100 % justice once you have read the story 

My view  on the storyline

Romance, Thriller, Suspense, adventure, you name it, This book is a rare combination of all the genres. The most lovely part of the book is the flow of the story. Even when the story is narrated as a flashback from the current perspective the nature in which it is explained without breaking a suspense is commendable.

The story narrates how a very talented NSG commando Major Virat Singh Rajput who was the nation’s pride after his heroics of the  Operation Black Tornado at the Mumbai Taj turned out to be a serial killer after the mysterious missing of the love of his life Pratishtha.

The story starts in the present: a prison where Virat is, and a criminal lawyer Vaishnavi wanting to meet him so that she can know about the motive behind the crime by the person who was once treated as the country’s pride who served in the Indian Army and later at NSG. The story then comes to a flashback where Virat narrates his past, starting from the commando operation at Taj and then onto how Virat’s and Pratishtha love had blossomed and then the tragic end.

I really loved the instances where Virat is trying to express his love for Pratishtha and her on the other hand, was not able to understand his feeling for her. I also felt a sense unease whenever the villainous Kabir was picturized in the book. Each character in the book played equal share in the success of the story. I even loved the light moments shared by Virat and his dad. Although Vaishnavi character is limited she never failed to impress.

The book also gives us a feeling that true love would be immortal. And people do change when something happens to their loved ones. 

Would definitely recommend this book who love to read something different in Romance and also who love to read thrillers.
